NOT WATCHING THAT AGAIN!

I was watching this ridiculous new show on TLC on Direct.tv. I literally felt bad after I was watching it for five minutes. The show is called “Toddlers in Tiaras”. It follows young children through the beauty pageant process. Girls literally who are two years old are participating in these pageants. I can get over the little girls dressing like adults, even though something seems just not right about it, but I saw something on the show that was tough for even me to get over. The episode that I watched highlighted a mother who was taking her daughter to the dentist to get an appliance made so that she could bleach her teeth. The little girl was only four years old! I didn’t even know that you could bleach baby teeth. I felt terrible for the little girl when her mother said, “your little brother’s teeth are whiter than yours!” The mother was way too obsessed with winning these pageants. I felt bad for the little girl! I won’t be watching that show again anytime soon.
